Aaron H. Martin, 82, of Denver, died Thursday, September 3, 2015 after a lengthy illness at Ephrata Manor.

Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Menno and Elizabeth (Hoover) Martin. He would have been married 61 years on Sept. 16 to Dorothy M. (Zimmerman) Martin.

Aaron was a farrier and a horse trainer most of his life. He was a member of the Muddy Creek Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, David, married to Carol (Oberholtzer) Martin of Mount Joy; a daughter, Lisa Martin of Denver; two grandchildren, Michael and Lucretia Martin; a sister, Anna, married to Rueben Ringler of Denver; and a brother, Noah Martin of New Holland.

Preceding him in death are eight brothers, Benjamin, Harry, David, Menno, Daniel, Amos, Allen, and Adam Martin; and three sisters, Hettie Ann Burkholder, Katie Burkholder, and Elizabeth Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11 at 8:30 am at the home of Anna and Erwin Newswanger, 1944 Kramer Mill Road, Denver, with further services at 9 am at the Muddy Creek Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday at the home of Anna and Erwin Newswanger from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
