Aaron N. Newswanger

Aaron N. Newswanger, 94, of 326 N. Hoover Avenue, New Holland, passed away at home on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

He was the husband of the late Mary S. Snyder Newswanger who died in 2017. Born in Earl Township, he was the son of the late Paul and Rebecca Nolt Newswanger.

Aaron was a retired farmer and a member of the New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are three sons, Raymond husband of Lucy (Martin) Newswanger, Shippensburg, Wilmer husband of Arlene (Nolt) Newswanger, Newville, and Alvin husband of Arlene (Sauder) Newswanger, New Holland; two daughters, Anna Mary wife of Charles Rozewicz, Mt. Vernon, OH, and Marian wife of Eugene Zimmerman, Rushville, NY; a daughter-in-law, Esther (Sensenig) Newswanger wife of the late Aaron Newswanger of Curtiss, WI; 44 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; six siblings, Anna wife of the late Ammon Martin, Ephrata, Levi husband of Mary Newswanger, TN, Mary wife of the late Ira Nolt, Ephrata, Ivan Newswanger, Woodbury, Allen husband of Lucinda Newswanger, New Holland, and David husband of Verna Newswanger of New Holland. He was preceded in death by a son Aaron Newswanger, a grandson, Marvin Newswanger, a great grandson, Matthew Sensenig; and by siblings, Paul Newswanger, Harvey Newswanger, and Rebecca Nolt.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 5, at 9:30 AM at the New Holland Mennonite Church, 139 E. Huyard Road, New Holland, PA with Bishop Marvin Nolt officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held at the late home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Arrangements by the Groff High Funeral Home, New Holland, PA
