Ada Blank

Ada Margaret (Best) Blank, 83, of Ephrata, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Blank in 1985.

Born in Little Britain, PA, the daughter of the late Harry M. and Clara (Alexander) Best, Ada lived most of her life in the West Chester, PA, area but lived the past fifteen years in Lancaster County. She enjoyed taking trips to Ocean City, NJ, with her friends.

Ada worked as a receptionist for the Treasurer of Chester County and later retired from the Adult Probation Department of Chester County.

Ada is survived by her son Robert, husband of Barbara, of Fivepointville; her grandchildren, Eric and Shawna Pride; her sister, Nancy Book; her friends Lenore Guthrie, Betty Gilcrist, and Joan McGeehan; and many nieces and nephews. Ada was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry “Pete”, James “Jim”, and John and two sisters Eva and Mary “Liz”.

Ada’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the dedicated staff of The Groves and Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 11:30 am at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1040 Chestnut Tree Road, Honey Brook, PA 19344.
