Ada Z. Martin, 95, of 756 Gehman School Road, Denver, died Monday, August 3, 2015 of natural causes at the home of her daughter, Marian.
Born in Blue Ball, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Magdalena (Zimmerman) Martin. Her husband, Eli M. Martin, died Nov. 5, 2007.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Muddy Creek Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving are 9 sons, Allen, married to Anna (Reiff) Martin of Mifflinburg, Edwin, married to Sara (Brubacher) Martin of Shippensburg, Eli James, married to Lydia (Zeiset) Martin of Penn Yan, NY, Lewis Martin of Denver, Aaron, married to Eva (Burkholder) Martin of Penn Yan, NY, David, married to Emma Sue (Oberholtzer) Martin of New Holland, Stephen, married to Mary (Leid) Martin of Denver, Elvin, married to Pauline (Weaver) Martin of Stanley, NY, and Michael, married to Mary Ann (Burkholder) Martin of Charles City, IA; six daughters, Mabel, married to Martin Hurst of Lime Springs, IA, Esther, married to Luke Weaver of Fleetwood, Anna, married to Samuel Shirk of Fleetwood, Ada, married to Noah Martin of Penn Yan, NY, Marian, married to Phares Hurst of Narvon, and Grace Martin of Morgantown; 91 grandchildren; 220 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Lena Martin of New Holland, Katie, married to Edwin Nolt of Brownstown, and Esther Hoover of Brownstown; one brother, Amos, married to Esther (Newswanger) Martin of Blue Ball; and four sisters-in-law, Annie Martin of Elkhart, IN, Barbara Martin of East Earl, Mary Martin of Ephrata, and Frances Martin of East Earl.
Preceding her in death is a son, John Ivan Martin; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four brothers, Aaron Z., Paul Z., Harvey Z., and Ivan Z. Martin; and two sisters, Emma Martin, and Anna Reiff.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10 at 9 am at the late home with further services at 9:30 am at the Muddy Creek Mennonite Church, 521 S. Muddy Creek Road, Denver, with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the late home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
