Adele E. Bitler

Adele E. Bitler, 26, of 501 Carbon St., Butler, PA, formerly of Gap, PA went to be with the Lord after she died Monday, August 16, 2010 in an auto accident in Butler. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of M. Lisabeth (Woelfle) Bitler of Gap, PA and Richard L., married to Cathleen Bitler of West Lawn, PA and will be deeply missed. She graduated from Pequea Valley High School, Kinzers, PA in 2001 and from Slippery Rock University in 2005. Adele had worked for the past five years as a Psychological Tester with Vocational and Psychological Services in Butler and also as a member of the Therapeutic Support Staff. As a member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Butler, she enjoyed participating on their softball league serving as an umpire and score keeper. She often sang during church services. Adele also enjoyed crocheting, music, painting, reading, her dog, Bear and two cats Ginger and Fiona. Surviving in addition to her parents are her fiancé, Jayson Stahlman of Butler; a brother, Joel A. Woelfle of Millersville; paternal grandmother, Grace Bitler of Morgantown; and two step-brothers, Andrew and Ryan Hoover both of West Lawn. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles as well as many cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 11 am at Pequea Presbyterian Church, 273 Cambridge Road, Gap, PA 17527 with the Reverend Beth Engel officiating. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be held on Friday, Aug. 20 from 6-8 pm at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland, PA.
