Adin M. Leinbach

Adin M. Leinbach, 68, of 1024 Silver Hill Rd., Narvon, died Wednesday, October 9 at his home following a brief illness. His wife of 45 years, Lavina Fern (Weaver) Leinbach, survives.


Born in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster Co., he was the son of the late John and Katie (Martin) Leinbach.


In his early years, he was a farmer but for most of his life was a builder in Lancaster and Berks counties.


He was a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Ruth married to Marvin Martin, Shoemakersville; Duane married to Sylvia (Shirk) Leinbach, Narvon; Donna married to Jay Ivan Hoover, Ephrata; David married to Erma (Hoover) Leinbach, Mt. Pleasant Mills; 29 grandchildren; six brothers: Benjamin married to Naomi (Hurst) Leinbach, OH; Levi married to Esther Mae (Weaver) Leinbach, East Earl; Amos married to Katie (Newswanger) Leinbach, MO; Edwin married to Ella (Martin) Leinbach, East Earl; John married to Edith (Martin) Leinbach, MO; Allen married to Anna Mae (Shirk) Leinbach, MO and three sisters: Fannie married to Isaac Zimmerman, New Holland; Amanda married to Willis Zimmerman, East Earl; and Ella married to Wayne Zimmerman, New Holland.


He was preceded in death by a brother Harvey Leinbach and his wife Lydia and a sister Mattie Leinbach.


His funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at 9 a.m. at the home of Duane Leinbach, 1161 Edwards Rd., Narvon with further services at 9:30 a.m. at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church with Bishop Leon S. Zimmerman, John Martin, Leon B. Zimmerman, and Marlin Lauver officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Rd., Ephrata. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
