Alberta R. Kurtz

Alberta R. Kurtz, 97, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, formerly of Terre Hill, died Wednesday, June 20 at Garden Spot Village. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross J. Kurtz in 1997.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Henrietta Diem Kolb.

Prior to her marriage, she was employed in the office at Armstrong. After her marriage, she was a homemaker and a Girl Scout Leader in Terre Hill for many years. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Surviving are two children: Theodore Richard married to Andrea Z. Kurtz, Shillington and Suzann married to David W. Coy, Durham, NC, four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two sisters: Carlene Merris, Dallas, TX and Anna Mae Ashby, Lancaster.

She was preceded in death by five siblings: Dorothy Maier, Charles Kolb, Margaret Weaver, Jack Kolb, and Geraldine Butt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 3 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St., New Holland, PA. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
