Alberta Mae (Dreher) Thrash, age 88, residing at 602 E. 21st St., Northampton, PA, formerly from Morgantown, PA and Fairview, NJ, died peacefully in her sleep on October 26, 2023, following an extended battle with dementia. She is survived by a son, Richard G. Thrash, Jr. of Reston, VA, a daughter, Charlotte M. (Thrash) Hall, wife of Kenneth L. Hall of Northampton, PA, three grandchildren, Kirsten, Christopher, and Chelsea, and six great-grandchildren Lincoln, Camden, Hudson, Paxton, Maddox, and Declan. Born in Camden, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Henry R. and Edna M. (Sloan) Dreher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Richard G. Thrash, Sr. who died in November 2003. Alberta graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, NJ in 1953. During much of her life she lived and worked in and around Camden, NJ including Cramer Hill, Westmont, Cherry Hill, and Fairview. She retired from her position as Supervising Accountant Clerk in the Municipal Court of the City of Camden, NJ in 1995 after 25 years of service and relocated to Morgantown, PA. A memorial service for Alberta will be held on November 2, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA with the Rev. Ray Voran officiating. Interment will follow the service in Caernarvon Cemetery, Morgantown, PA. Friends, or family may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30 – 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Alberta’s name may be sent to Family Pillars Hospice, 3910 Adler Place, Suite 130, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
