Alice E. Martin

Alice E. Martin, 90, of Ephrata, formerly of Leola, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, after a lengthy illness.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harvey H. and Margaret (Esbenshade) Martin.

Alice worked as a domestic housekeeper for various households in the area.

She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church.

Surviving are two brothers, Elmer E., married to Grace (Weaver) Martin of Blue Ball, and Carl E., married to Arlene (Snader) Martin of New Holland; a sister-in-law, Mildred (Weaver) Martin of East Earl; and nine nieces and nephews, whom she enjoyed so much.

Preceding her in death is a brother, LeRoy E. Martin.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Fairmount Homes for the wonderful care given to Alice over the years.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13 at 10 AM at Fairmount Homes Wheat Ridge Chapel, 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata with the Reverend C. Kenneth Martin and the Reverend Clair Martin officiating. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Goodville Mennonite Cemetery.
