Alta W. (Zimmerman) Hoover, 83, formerly of Culbertson Run Road, Coatesville passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Richland Christian Home, Richland, PA.
Born in Terre Hill, she was the daughter of the late Levi W. and Ella (Wise) Zimmerman. She married Allen S. Hoover on June 14, 1952.
She was an excellent homemaker and loving mother to three sons and two daughters.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Jerry A., married to Dorcas (Sharp) Hoover of Dover, OH, Jay P., married to Shirlene (Knepp) Hoover of Macon, MS, and Richard L., married to Martha (Kreider) Hoover of Narvon; two daughters, Sharon, married to David L. Weaver of Coatesville, and Bonita, married to Lamar Weaver of Denver; 25 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; a brother, Levi Zimmerman of Rehrersburg; and a sister, Irene Weaver of Bowmansville.
Preceding her in death is a great grandson, Adrian Hindal; two brothers, Paul and Raymond Zimmerman; and four sisters, Anna Mae (Willis) Martin, Martha (Rufus) Sensenig, Ella (John) Martin, and Esther (Rufus) Musser.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Blue Ball Mennonite Church, 401 Ewell Road, Blue Ball, PA on Tuesday, May 27 at 10 am with the Bishop Ray Weaver, Carl Sensenig, Joel Martin, and Elmer Zimmerman officiating. There will be a public viewing at the Blue Ball Mennonite Church on Monday, May 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Please omit flowers.
