Alta M. Weaver

Alta M. Weaver, 85, of Elverson, passed away at home on Monday, December 6, 2021.

She was the wife of the late Raymond M. Weaver who died in 2015. Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Norman O. and Lizzie Martin Nolt.

Alta was a homemaker, but ever ready to help with the needs of others both near and far. She was a member of the Honey Brook Mennonite Church.

Surviving are four children, Lucille wife of David Burkholder, Benton, IL, Wilmer husband of Sylvia Weaver, Elverson, Leonard husband of Sarah Weaver, Benton, IL and Vernon husband of Doris Weaver, Elverson; 26 grandchildren, 87 great grandchildren; and five siblings, Mary wife of the late Rufus Martin of Ephrata, Melvin husband of Jane Nolt of Ephrata, Clarence husband of Kathryn Nolt of Myerstown, Anna Mae wife of Paul Newswanger of Gordonville, and Bertha wife of Richard Hurst of Ephrata. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Winfred Campbell.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Honey Brook Mennonite Church, 678 Reservoir Road, Honey Brook, PA with Bishop Harold Good, Elmer Martin, Duane Martin, Brian Martin and Brian Campbell officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held at the church on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
