Amanda Marie Johns

Amanda Marie Johns, 38, lovingly known as “Mandee,” passed away peacefully at Lancaster General Hospital on September 17, 2026, following a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family and leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to those she cherished most.

Amanda was the beloved wife of David L. Johns, with whom she shared 19 years of marriage. David is the son of David and Marilyn Johns of Lititz. Together, they built a beautiful family and were raising four daughters who were the absolute joy of her life: Maya, 18; Reese, 16; Ella, 13; and Adalie, 9.

Amanda was the daughter of Lowell and Elaine Martin of Denver. She is also survived by her brother, Shannon Martin, husband of Lisa, of Terre Hill; and her sister, Janae Fisher, wife of Darrell, of New Holland. Mandee is also survived by sisters-in-law Lisa Alspaugh (Michael), Sherry Zook (Loren), and Missy Martin (Marlin), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A devoted mother, Amanda homeschooled her daughters and treasured every opportunity to watch them grow, learn, and pursue the things they loved. She loved cheering from the sidelines at youth rodeo and proudly supported them fishing and hunting with David. Her daughters were at the heart of everything she did, and she adored each of them beyond words. Her husband was equally precious to her, and their 19 years together were filled with love, family, and countless memories.

Amanda was artistic and creative, talented in drawing and watercolors. She found joy in styling and making things beautiful. Her bedtime stories with her girls were a favorite part of her day. She loved family trips to their cabin, laugh’s with good friends and family, and trips to the beach. Above all, she treasured the simple moments with the people she loved most.

Amanda had a deep love for Jesus and held firmly to the promise of heaven. Even through the difficult days of her illness, her faith remained an important part of who she was.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Cloyd and Ida Martin, and her maternal grandparents, Harvey and Frances Martin.

Amanda’s family invites friends and loved ones to join them in remembering and celebrating her life.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Petra Church, 565 Airport Road, New Holland, PA. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 25, at 10:00 A.M. at Petra Church. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family prior to the memorial service on Friday morning. 

Amanda will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her love will live on in their hearts and memories as they lean on the promise of meeting again in heaven.
