Amos Weidemann

Amos Weidemann, 94, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. His wife, Moira Jane (Reddick) Weidemann, survives. Together they shared 70 years of marriage.


Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Knab) Weidemann.


Amos was a self-employed heating and air conditioning contractor for most of his life.


He was of the Baptist faith and had a strong history of support for missionaries. He also enjoyed aviation, piloting many small aircraft.


Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two children: Jane married to Joe Schoetz, Huntingdon Valley and Daniel Weidemann, Bemidji, MN; eight grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.


A son, James Weidemann, preceded him in death on October 8, 2014.


He was the last of his immediate family.


A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville. A memorial service will be scheduled and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Evangelism Resources, 425 Epworth Ave., Wilmore, KY 40390 or Mission Aviation Fellowship, P. O. Box 47, Nampa, ID 83653.
