Amy Hackman-Rupp, age 43, of Farmersville, PA passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013.

Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of Robert and Janice Breneman Hackman, Lititz.

Amy is survived by her husband, David Rupp; her brother, Andrew, married to Kristen Hackman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. She will be deeply missed by her dog, Snuggles.

Amy graduated from Warwick High School in 1989 and received a BS degree in Secondary Education from Kutztown University. She also received her M. Ed. Degree and Principal Certification from Penn State University.

Amy was an English teacher at Garden Spot High School since 1994, and English Department head for four of those years. She also served as advisor for Sparta News for some time.

Amy was a dedicated teacher who truly inspired her students both in school and in their lives. Amy’s commitment, compassion, and caring were well known. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Amy loved her family outings and times spent with her friends; she traveled extensively, and enjoyed reading. She loved the beach, especially at Bar Harbor, Maine, and Assateague Island, Maryland.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Amy’s memorial service on Friday, December 20, 2013, at 7 pm; Visitation will be from 4-7 pm prior to the service at the Petra Christian Fellowship, 565 Airport Road, New Holland.
