Andrew Szucs, 86, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, died Friday February 3, 2017 at Garden Spot Village.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Alexander and Barbara (Banyacskay) Szucs.

Following graduation from Scott High School, Andy served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his time of service, he returned to work at Luken’s Steel Co. in production control.

Andy was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir at Coatesville Presbyterian Church. He later joined Westminster Presbyterian Church in West Chester, where he also sang in the choir. After moving to Garden Spot Village, he attended the Community Church at Garden Spot Village. In addition to singing, Andy enjoyed travelling and visited many countries around the world.

He is survived by his brother, Alexander Szucs,Jr., New Holland and two nephews, Dr. Richard Alexander Szucs and his wife Ruth of Richmond, VA and their children, Alexandra and Matthew and Andrew David Szucs and his wife Rhonda of Garden Grove, CA and their children, Vera and Rachel.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave, New Holland, PA 17557 with Chaplain Chester Yoder officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville. The family will receive friends at the chapel on Friday from 10:30 – 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, address above. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be posted atwww.groffeckenroth.com.
