Anita M. Moneghan

Anita M. Moneghan, 97, of New Holland, died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Mennonite Home.

Born the youngest of 13 children in Swanton, VT on September 12, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Azalea Gregoire Begnoche. She moved to New Milford, CT in 1940 where she met William (Howard) Moneghan. Anita and Howard were married in 1944.

A Catholic by faith, Anita was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New Holland, where she served as a Special Minister of the Eucharist for home visits.

Surviving is a daughter Linda A. wife of Mark Liller of Lancaster, and many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard in 1970 along with all her brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank everyone on Goods Run and the team from Hospice and Community Care for the care she received while at the Mennonite Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 22nd at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water Street, New Holland, PA with The Rev. Walter Guzman as celebrant. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, New Holland, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Moneghan’s memory may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St., New Holland, PA 17557 or to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
