Ann K. Lundgren

Ann K. “Annie” Lundgren, 57, of New Holland, PA, died Thursday, October 12, 2017.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, on March 29, 1960, Annie’s childhood was spent in Weston and Ridgefield CT, and then Newtown Square, PA, where she graduated from Radnor High School in 1978. Most of her adult life was spent in Delaware County, PA, including Drexel Hill and Media. She graduated from Cornell University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology, earned a Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College, and was a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).

In both her personal and professional life, Annie’s passion was to connect with and help people. She touched countless lives as a therapist and during her employment at Ceridian Corporation in Blue Bell, PA, Optum Health in Philadelphia, and in private practice. A coworker recalls that she was “witty, clever, and extremely conscientious with her work.” She truly enjoyed her daily encounters with people and took every opportunity to make a new friend. She is remembered by her many colleagues and friends as stylish, playful, caring, and generous. She had an adventurous side as well, working in the Virgin Islands, traveling to Greece, Ireland, and India, and most recently zip-lining.

She is survived by Torey King of Trenton, NJ, her parents Donald and Marilyn Lundgren of New Holland, PA, her brother Douglas Lundgren in Lakeland, FL, two nieces, a nephew, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her brother, William David Lundgren.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to support the Garden Spot Cooperative Living project in New Holland. Annie had a heart for providing for aging single persons, and the Garden Spot Cooperative Living home will be a national model for shared co-housing for seniors of limited income.
