Anna E. Horst

Anna E. Horst, 93, of New Holland, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland.

Born in New Holland, she was the daughter of the late Shelley and Alice (Hertzler) Musser. Her husband, Allen S. Horst, died Nov. 11, 2009.

Anna was a homemaker and a member of the New Holland Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday school. She was also a 32 year member of the Blue Ball Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and she volunteered at the Re-Uzit Shop and at Camp Hebron and enjoyed quilting.

Surviving is a daughter, Miriam Engle of Keokuk, IA; two sons, Merle, married to Lynette (Burkholder) Horst of Blue Ball, and Earl, married to Lorene (Yoder) Horst of New Holland; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is a brother, Jacob Musser; a sister, Grace Musser; and a son-in-law, William Engle.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 11 am at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave. New Holland, PA 17557 with the Reverend Ron Zook, the Reverend Chester Yoder and the Reverend Kevin Gunion officiating. Interment will be in the New Holland Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held at GSV Chapel on Saturday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, address above.
