Anna High Martin

Anna H. Martin, 95, of Shippensburg, formerly of New Holland, died at home on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

She was the wife of the late Israel S. Martin who died in 2019. Born in Terre Hill, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Hettie High Zimmerman.

Anna was a homemaker and a member of the New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are three sons, Elmer Z. husband of Ada Hoover Martin of New Holland, Lester Z. husband of Ruth Burkholder Martin of Curtiss, WI, and Harold Z. husband of Jane Zimmerman Martin of Dorchester, WI; three daughters, Alda Z. Martin and Jane M. wife of Lewis Burkholder both of Shippensburg, and Marie M. wife of Elvin Zimmerman of Greenwich, OH; 44 grandchildren, 180 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; three brothers, Aaron husband of Edna Zimmerman of New Holland, Lloyd husband of Annetta Zimmerman of Terre Hill, and Paul husband of Mabel Zimmerman of East Earl; a sister, Vera Newswanger of OH, a bother-in-law, Leroy Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, two sisters-in-laws, Fannie Zimmerman of New Holland and Mary Zimmerman of KY. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Carl Burkholder, Jay Elvin Zimmerman, and Michael Martin, three brothers, Harold, Christian and Isaac Zimmerman, and six sisters, Mary Newswanger, Esther Weaver, Mabel Horst, Miriam Zimmerman, Elva Zimmerman and Verna Zimmerman.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 15, at 9:30 A.M. at the New Holland Mennonite Church, 139 E. Huyard Road, New Holland, PA with Bishop Marvin Nolt officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the home of Elmer and Ada Martin. 422 Reidenbach Road, New Holland, PA.
