Anna Ruth Waddell

Anna Ruth Waddell, 89, of New Holland, formerly of Wilmington, DE, died Friday, November 18, 2016 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland.

Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Hannah (Knowles) Broadbent. She was married 66 years on June 10 to James A. Waddell.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cross stitch and spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, James, married to Magdalena Waddell of Washington, DC, John, married to Nancy Waddell of Newcastle, DE, David, married to Lois Waddell of Wilmington, DE, and Leslie, married to Jay Dunnell of Fairfield, CT; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.

Preceding her in death is a great granddaughter, Ellie Virgil; and two brothers, James and John Broadbent.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 11th at 1:00 pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel with Chaplain Chester Yoder officiating, with visitation beginning at Noon.
