Anne M. Zimmerman

Anne M. Zimmerman, 72, formerly of New Holland, Ephrata and Annville, passed away on September 30, 2023, as a resident of Masonic Village.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Samuel O. and Bernice (Musselman) Zimmerman.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a graduate of Garden Spot High School, Class of 1969 and attended Franklin School of Science and Arts in Philadelphia. She was employed as a Respiratory Therapist for the former Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital in Lancaster, the former Community General Hospital in Reading and the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster. She then worked in the billing department for various physicians offices after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1982. In her earlier years, she enjoyed sewing with friends and was a field hockey manager for Garden Spot School. She would often volunteer for the MS Society when her health would allow it. She enjoyed listening to music, especially rock and roll.

Anne is survived by her brothers; Samuel O. Zimmerman Jr. of Lansdale and John R., husband of Shari Zimmerman of Mechanicsburg. Also surviving are her nephews; David A. Zimmerman of Newtown and Carl T. Zimmerman of Philadelphia.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W Main Street, New Holland PA 17557. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the time of service. A private interment will be held in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
