Arlene M. Torres

Arlene M. Torres, 75, of New Holland, passed at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nazario Torres in 1988.

Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Anna Mary (Mull) Beachy.

Arlene worked as a CNA at the former Wetzler Convalescent Home in Blue Ball. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, cooking and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving are four children: Eugene (Tina) Beachy, Peach Bottom, Lucy (Carlos) Antuna, New Holland, Carmen Torrez, Reading, Nazario “Beno” Torres, Jr., New Holland; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; along with 3 sisters: Naomi Eck, Mabel Bryson, Ruth Millisock.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, a great-granddaughter and 2 great-grandson along with 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Memory Gardens, 319 Wabash Rd., Ephrata. A viewing will be held at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland on Sunday from 5 – 8 p.m.
