Arthur G. Good

Arthur G. Good, 98, of Myerstown, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at his home after a brief illness.

Born in Mohnton, he was the son of the late Milton and Fannie (Gehman) Good. His wife, Esther M. (Swartzentruber) Good, died July 21, 1990.

Arthur and his wife owned and operated Goods Greenhouses in Bowmansville from 1952-1994. For over 50 years he also served as pastor at a Reading Mission. He enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Providence Mennonite Church, Pilgrim Mennonite Conference.

Surviving is a daughter, Rhoda, married to Carl W. Sensenig with whom he resided; a son, Daniel D., married to Lois (Horning) Good of Knauers; a daughter-in-law, Harriet, married to Marlin Eberly of Reinholds; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Preceding him in death is a son Ray G. Good.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10 at 10 AM at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road, East Earl with the Bishop Luke Bennetch, Virgil Heisey, and Loren Strickler officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be on Friday from 6-8 PM at the Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Road, Myerstown and on Saturday from 9-10 AM at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church. Kindly omit flowers.
