Arthur R. Sauder

Arthur R. “Art” Sauder, 101, passed away at Ephrata Manor on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Celebrating 51 years of marriage in August, he was the beloved husband of Elaine M. Sensenig Sauder who died at Ephrata Manor on Monday, October 20, 2025. Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late Erbie and Alice Sensenig Sauder.

Known as “Pop” to his family, he was a retired truck driver and a member of Pine Grove Church in Bowmansville. Art enjoyed bowling and traveling with Elaine. He stayed active by walking up until the last months of his life.

Pop was a man of principle and will be missed by his family. Surviving are children Robert Sauder, Donald (Barbara) Mumma, Rick (Judy) Gilbert, Jeff (Sherri) Gilbert, Greg Gilbert, Diane (Fred) Smith, and Melodie (Sam) Weaver, son-in-law, Bill Hensel, sister, Anna Wenger, 19 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Hensel and siblings, Lester, Melvin, Paul, Raymond and Alice Sauder, Esther Rutt and Irene Martin.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ephrata Manor and Hospice and Community Care for the excellent care they provided for Art.

Services were private and held at the convenience of the family.
