Aubrey Diem

Aubrey “Toby” Diem, Jr., 62, of New Holland, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Aubrey “Pap”, Sr. and Phyllis (Fryberger) Diem.

Toby was a truck driver most of his life. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in New Holland. He loved his Harley Davidson, was an avid fisherman, and a member of the New Holland Pool team, playing in Lancaster and Chester Counties along with Las Vegas.

Surviving are three children, Veryl, married to Heidi (Lidwell) Diem of McAlisterville, Corin Diem of Roopville, GA, and Vanessa Logan of Jonestown; and seven grandchildren.

Preceding him in death is a brother, Barry Diem in 2009.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 3 pm at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA 17557 with viewing from 1-3 pm. Interment will be held at a later date at the Ranck’s United Methodist Cemetery.
