Aurora G. Weaver

Aurora G. (Garcia) Weaver, 90, of New Holland, passed away on July 21, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, G. Arthur Weaver, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage.

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Laureano and Petra (Saldaña) Garcia.

Aurora worked as a private secretary in a doctor’s office. After moving to Lancaster and having her children she was a bookkeeper for a number of businesses in the area. She was also involved in multiple civic organizations like the Women’s Club and hosted numerous exchange students.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children: Shirley A. Weaver of Berwyn, PA, James A. Weaver of Houston, TX, Philip G. Weaver, wife Stephanie, of New Holland, and Patricia G. Weaver of Littlestown, PA; four grandsons: Kristofer W. Seegmueller of Los Angeles, CA, Justin W. Seegmueller of Berwyn, PA, Wade X. Weaver of New Holland, and G. Alexander Weaver of New Holland; two granddaughters: Lorin R. Weaver, fiancée of Michael Ricigliano, of Elverson, PA, and Darian N. Weaver of Leola; and a great-grandson, Jackson C. Ricigliano.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers: Ruben Garcia, Jaime Garcia, Xavier Garcia, and Laureano Garcia, Jr.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St., New Holland, PA 17557 with Father Walter Guzman officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, New Holland. Viewing will be held on Sunday, July 26 from 6-8 PM at Beck’s Funeral Home, 315 East Main St., New Holland, PA 17557. Donations in Aurora’s honor may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society, Inc. East Central Division. Rt. 422 & Sipe Avenue, Hershey, Pennsylvania 17033.
