B. Lois Herr

B. Lois Herr, 92, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Fairmount Homes. Lois was born in East Earl Twp, PA, to her late parents, David H. Herr and Alice Lichty Herr.

Lois worked as a caregiver and office assistant for Dr. Peters in New Holland. Later she began working at Yoder’s Country Market, working in the deli as a clerk. She was a woman of deep faith and a strong commitment to the Lord. She was a member of Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community in East Earl. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed quilting, sewing, and traveling.

Lois is survived by her siblings, Martin R. Herr, of Lititz, John L. Herr and his wife Joann, of Lititz, Marian H. Newswanger and her husband Aaron, of New Holland and Alice M. High, of Willow Street and her sister-in-law, N. Jane Herr, of Lititz. She is also survived by sixteen nieces and nephews, twenty-seven great nieces and nephews and nine great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her brother, David L. Herr, sisters-in-law Dorothy Herr and Marie Herr and brother-in-law Carl G. High.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, beginning at 3:30 PM, at Fairmount Homes-Wheat Ridge Chapel, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA. The funeral will be officiated by her Pastors, Brian Martin and Leon Hurst. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 PM at Wheat Ridge Chapel. A private burial will be held in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
