Barbara A. Lyman

Barbara A. Lyman, 85, of New Holland, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at Ephrata Community Hospital.


Born in West Chester, PA, she was the wife of the late William H. Lyman, and daughter of the late J. Ward and Leonore Aaron. She was a graduate of Downingtown High School and the Chester County Hospital School of Nursing.


Barbara enjoyed crafting, quilting, and her flowers and plants.


She was actively involved with the Community Church at Garden Spot Village as well as volunteering in the Village Store.


Surviving are three sons, William, married to Marsha of Coatesville, David married to Patricia of Downingtown, and Stephen, married to Cindy of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Brian married to Kelly of Coatesville and Katherine of Harrisburg; three step-grandsons, Bradley, Gary, and Blake; four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Chase, Declan, and Elliott; and two brothers, William and Frank Aaron.


A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 2 at 12 Noon at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland PA 17557. Private interment will be in Ranck’s United Methodist Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund at the address above. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
