Barrett G. Block

Barrett G. Block, 80, of New Holland, passed away on October 15, 2023 as a resident of Garden Spot Village.

Born in Rockville Centre, he was the son of the late Warren A. and Norma I. (Megahan) Block.

He was the loving husband of Anne M. (Spano) Block, whom he married on October 4, 1969 and just celebrated fifty four years of marriage.

He served in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant. He graduated from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont and was employed as a leasing coordinator with various companies throughout his career, such as Liberty Mutual, US Leasing, NY, AT&T, Finova, and Siemens Medical in Malvern. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where he was involved in the Adult Education and was a liaison between Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Garden Spot Village. He would often volunteer notary services at Garden Spot Village and was always willing to help with projects. He was also active in the Lighter Side Players.

Barrett is survived by his wife Anne of New Holland, his sister; Lauren Block of Parkesburg and his sister-in-law; Kathleen wife of Peter Manglaviti of Palm Coast, FL.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water Street, New Holland PA 17557 with Father Stephen Fauser officiating. Burial will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
