Beatrice E. Siegel, 102, of Lititz, formerly of Terre Hill, died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Landis Homes.
Born in Mifflinville, PA she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Hadley) Eisenhauer. Her husband, Rev. William Siegel, died Sept. 14, 2004. They were married for 65 years.
Bea graduated from Bloomsburg University and worked as an elementary teacher at Lenkerville Elementary School in Millersburg and later at Brecknock Elementary School in Denver. Her life of service included her teaching, public school and Sunday school, Choir Director and organist for 88 years. She last played the organ on Easter Sunday at Landis Homes.
She was a member of St. Johns Center United Church of Christ in East Earl. Surviving is a daughter, Judith Ann Siegel of Lititz; a son, John Edward, married to Lynne Siegel of Greenville, NC; two grandsons, Christopher, married to Sherri Siegel of Winterville, NC, and Gregory, married to Leah Siegel of Greenville, NC; five great grandchildren, Melanie, Reyvin, Gavin, Quinn, and Audrey; and a great-great grandson, Maddox.
Preceding her in death is a sister, Jean Gingher.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 11 am at St. John’s Center United Church of Christ, 432 Reading Road, East Earl with the Rev. Bradley Haws officiating.
