Bertha Elizabeth Kerney

Bertha E. Kerney, 91, of Lititz, died Sunday, May 26, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle in Lititz.

Born in Chester County, PA she was a daughter of the late Evan T. and Helen (Wanner) Eyrich. Her husband, Leonard Kerney, died Dec. 31, 2000.

Bertha and her husband owned and operated Great Expectations Beauty Salon, later called Shear Excitement in Lancaster, for many years.

She was a member of the East Nantmeal Baptist Church in Glen Moore and also a member of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are three children, John Kerney of Albuquerque, NM, Barbara Sherlock of England, and Cheryl Kerney-Conner of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Kennedy, Sean Keveney, Michael Keveney, and Andrew Conner; and four great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is a brother, John Eyrich.
