Bethel L. Lewis

Bethel L. “Beck” Lewis, 84, of New Holland, formerly of Downingtown, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 7, 2020.

Born in Green Cove, VA, he was a son of the late Rufus and Alma (Green) Lewis. He was married 60 years on June 25 to Maryann (Tibel) Lewis.

Beck worked in the shipping department of Milprint in Downingtown for many years as a tow motor operator.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New Holland and a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Downingtown. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on cars.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 8 children, Carolyn Lewis of Talmage, Daniel (Maureen) Lewis of Linden , NC, , Richard (Tina) Lewis of Holly, MI, Christine (Edward) Pullin of Orefield, Stephen (Kristan) Lewis of Perkiomenville, David (Karen) Lewis of Westfield, MA, Patricia (Peter) Aguirre of Santa Monica, CA, and Michael Lewis of Salem, NJ; 11 grandchildren, Daniel, Ryanne, Danielle, Rebekah, Christopher, David, Austin, Sophie, Ryan, Andrew, and Cole; 2 great grandchildren, Julianna and Dillon; and a sister, Barbara (Robert) Howell of Oxford.

Preceding him in death are four siblings, Thelma Brown, Earl Lewis, R.C. Lewis, and Leon Lewis.

A private mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Twist of Fate Farm & Sanctuary, www.twistoffatefarmandsanctuary.org.
