Betty Ann Chernick

Betty Ann Chernick, 71, of New Holland, died Friday, April 12, 2019 at Wellspan York Hospital. She was preceded in death by her partner, David Schmeck.

Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, she was the daughter of the late C. Tyler and L. Marie (Cowham) South.

Betty worked in food service at Shady Maple Smorgasbord for 11 years.

She enjoyed riding motorcycle, bowling, and dance roller skating.

She will be lovingly missed by her bother Kenneth T. South, partner of Jeff Lauren, Oakland Park, FL, aunts, uncles cousins and her dog Nikki.

A memorial service will be held at Shady Maple Smorgasbord, 129 Toddy Dr., East Earl, PA on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 6 p.m. The Beck Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be posted at www.beckfuneral.com.
