Betty E. Emery, 92, Honey Brook, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Hickory House Nursing Home.

Born in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County on April 14, 1922, she was the wife of the late Logan Emery Sr., and a daughter of the late Marvin and Elizabeth Diem.

Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Lottie Quino and Pauline Zimmerman, and three brothers: Marvin Diem Jr., Fillmore Diem, and John Diem.

Betty is survived by her four children: Hazel Doman of Ephrata, Logan Emery Jr. of Honey Brook, Barbara Putt of Naples, FL, and James Emery of Churchtown; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three sisters: Alberta Gilgore of Narvon, Arlene Ream of Gap, and Sadie Stoltzfus of Honey Brook; and two brothers: Ted Diem of New Holland, and Robert Diem of Narvon.

Come the spring bloom when jenny wren returns, may she mourn the old friend she will call on no more.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 25 at 2 PM at the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, PA.
