Betty Catherine Heal

Betty C. Heal, 91, of Ephrata, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Fairmount Homes in Ephrata. She was the loving wife of the late Gordon B. Heal Sr.

Born in Frackville, PA she was the daughter of the late William & Elizabeth Phillips Caton.

Betty was a registered nurse for over 40 years. Her first job was working at the Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia. After that she worked for the Methodist Home for Children and the American Red Cross. She enjoyed needlepoint and Bible Study and was a dedicated parishioner at the New Holland United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and had visited all 50 United States.

Surviving are her five sons, Anthony DiDomenicis, husband of Veronica, John DiDomenicis, husband of Donna D’Anella, William DiDomenicis, husband of Roseanne, Scott DiDomenicis, husband of Donna, and Wesley DiDomenicis, engaged to Jennifer Johnson; one stepson, Gordon B. Heal Jr., husband to the late Diane Heal; 15 Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Diane wife of John Bodnar, Robert Geiring, husband of Peg; and a sister-in-law, Delores Giering wife of the late Donald Giering & many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, five siblings, and first husband, John DiDomenicis Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 26, at 8 P.M. at the New Holland United Methodist Church, 120 West Main Street, New Holland, PA 17557. Friends may greet the family at the church on Friday from 7:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment the following day at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Frackville, PA.
