Betty M. Storb Gaston

Betty M. Storb Gaston, 88, of 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, formerly of Terre Hill, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Brethren Village. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. George J. Storb in 1991 and by her second husband, Jack Gaston, in 2007.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Allen and Mabel (Strausser) Jacoby.

Betty completed her Registered Nurse training at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Lancaster. Her final nursing position was working with her husband in his dental practice in Terre Hill.

She was a longtime member of Galen Hall G.C. and an avid golfer, achieving 6 holes in one. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, New Holland.

Surviving are five children: George J. Storb, Jr. married to Marcia, Reading; Dr. Lewis A.Storb, married to Michele , Ephrata; Kathleen married to Thomas Leh, Ephrata; Linda Hillenburg, Fulshear, TX; Karen married to Dr. John A. Raffensperger, Pittsburgh; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother Douglas B. Jacoby, Ft. Pierce, FL.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Allen Jacoby and Robert Jacoby, and a son-in-law Ronald Hillenburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 150 Water St., New Holland with Fr. John McLaughlin as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, New Holland. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brethren Village Benevolent Fund, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
