Betty Jean Wallace

Betty Jean Wallace, 67, of Leola, died Monday, February 25, 2013 in Venice, FL.

Born in Paradise Twp., she was the daughter of Anna Mae (Strubel) Groff Drumm of Lancaster and the late Alfred G. Groff. She was married 31 years on Dec. 25 to George A. Wallace.

Betty retired after 28 years working for the former RCA and GE, and currently Burle Industries in Lancaster.

She was a member of Mt. Airy Evangelical Congregational Church and the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Support Group.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother is a daughter, Carolyn Jean, married to Richard Wise of Potter County; a son, Eugene Thomas, married to Lori Caldwell of Mt. Vernon, KY; a step-son, Troy J., married to Gail Wallace of Goodville; two step-daughters, Crystal, married to David Walker of Severna Park, MD and Kendra L., married to Charles Babb of Goodville; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Rice of Lancaster; and a brother, Alfred E. Groff of Denver.

Preceding her in death is her step-father, Samuel Drumm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 11 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Bruce Willier officiating.
