Beverly S. Weir

Beverly S. Weir, 65, of New Holland, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center. Her husband, Ronald G. Weir, preceded her in death in 2014.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Anna (Pratt) Sweigart of Gap and the late James E. Stoltzfus.

Bev was the owner and creator of folk art sold under her business name, Candi Kid Creations.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are four children: R. James married to Lisa (Jones) Weir, Blue Ball; Edward Weir, New Holland; Kristen married to Matthew Madgy, Las Vegas, NV; Jonathan Weir, New Holland; four grandchildren: Corey, Sarah, Zoe, Kyla); a step-mother Verna Stoltzfus, Quarryville; a step-brother, Jeffrey Sweigart, Lancaster; and five half-siblings: Penny Sciore, Pittsburgh, Deb Bailey, Quarryville, Carolyn Distefano, Downingtown, Janine Wilkin, Alexandria, VA, Thomas Stoltzfus, Sadsburyville.

In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Candice Nicole Weir.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with Pastor Rob Stippich officiating. Interment will be in Zeltenreich Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. Online condolences may be posted at www.groffeckenroth.com.
