Bonnie Kay Merritt, 77, of Ephrata, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at WellSpan Ephrata Hospital.

She was born in Berwick, PA to the late Robert and Marjorie (Jackson) Snyder. Bonnie was married to her long-time sweetheart, Howard E. Merritt, for 57 years. They enjoyed traveling and were blessed to see many beautiful places. Among her other hobbies were gardening, flower arranging, crafting, reading and cooking. She also loved to entertain and graced many friends and family with her special culinary skills.


Bonnie had been employed in the graphic arts industry most of her working years. Prior to her retirement in 2015, she was employed by Davco Advertising as a customer service representative.


She attended Calvary Church and enjoyed Bible study Tuesday mornings where she got to know several precious ladies.

In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Ann wife of Todd Bollinger of Reinholds; two grandchildren, Brett N. husband of Karissa Bollinger of Ft. Mitchell, AL, and Natalie R. Bollinger of Womelsdorf; three sisters, Donna wife if Terry Torok of Harrisburg, Roberta wife of John Gittler of Prescott, AZ, and Joan Marie wife of Donald Sorber of Bloomsburg. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy DeLong.


A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 16, 2024 at Calvary Church in Lancaster in their chapel.
