Bruce I. Rossman

Bruce I. Rossman, 87, of New Holland, PA, formerly of Marlton, NJ, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy, PA. He is survived by his wife Alice M. (Grana) Rossman.

Born in Centre County, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence R. and Tammie (Miller) Rossman. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Bruce was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Holland, where he served as usher, and on the cemetery, church council and property committees. He was a member of New Holland Lions Club and the American Legion in Millheim. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading western novels and being with his wife, Alice. Together they enjoyed traveling and cooking. He was never too far from his Korean Military War Cap, which he wore proudly.

He had been a customer service manager for Arett Sales, Cherry Hill, NJ, for 22 years, retiring in 1990.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Jon R., married to Wendy (Schlecter) Rossman, Berlin, NJ, and Joel B., married to Karen Rossman, Omaha, Nebraska, six grandchildren, three stepdaughters, Karen E. Bouffard, Lumberton, NJ, Amy K. Russell, Northfield, NJ, and Theresa R. Wilson, Tuckerton, NJ, six step grandchildren, one step great grandson; and two sisters, Elizabeth, married to Ian Springer, Mill Hall, PA, and Janie, married to Larry Shook, Millheim, PA.

He was preceded in death by his sister Arlene Zerby.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11 at 11:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 221 East Main St., New Holland, PA 17557 with the Reverend Rick Whitesell officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:30 – 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, address above.
