Obituary

In loving memory of Cameron Aries April 18, 1996 - June 22, 2026 With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Cameron Aries (formerly known as Cameron Heagy) on June 22, 2026. Born on April 18, 1996 in Lancaster, PA. Cameron’s life, though brief, was filled with vibrant energy, creative expression, and profound love for all. Cameron’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit, his laughter, and his boundless love will forever remain in our hearts. May we all find comfort in the memories we’ve shared and strive to live with the same love and passion that Cameron exemplified every day. Surviving are his mother, Terri Shaver and her husband Daniel Shaver; his father Matthew Heagy and his wife Sue Heagy; and his grandmother Brenda Glauner. He is missed by siblings, Jeremy and his wife Nicole Heagy, Ryan and his fiance Dana Kramer, Gage Shaver and his spouse Kylea Aul and Shyanne Perks and her husband Mark Perks. He will also be missed by step siblings, Josh, Adam, and Daniel Shaver. Cameron was preceded in death by his grandmother Sally Miller, grandfather Dale Glauner, and brother Justin Heagy, who now welcome him into eternal peace. A proud graduate of Pequea Valley High School in 2014, Cameron was known for his remarkable artistic talents and an insatiable curiosity about the world. His dream was to travel and embrace the diverse cultures and wonders that lay beyond his doorstep. Until then, he found joy in his artwork, fish tanks, gardening, animal crossing, and a deep connection with animals, especially his cherished cats, Sunny and Benji. His love for tigers often led him to the zoo, where he found solace and inspiration. Cameron’s passions extended to music, where the songs of Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Melanie Martinez, Charlie XCX, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato filled his days with rhythm and light. His friends and family fondly remember his infectious laughter and the warmth he radiated, lighting up any room he walked into with his remarkable humor and unwavering care for others. In lieu of flowers and cards, the family kindly request donations be made in Cameron’s name to the ASPCA and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Through these contributions, Cameron’s love for animals and his hope for mental wellness can continue to make a difference. A celebration of Cameron’s life will be held on June 27, 2026 at 8:00 AM for close family and friends. Anyone interested in attending should contact Ryan Heagy at (610) 636-2641.
