Carl L. Gehman

Carl L. Gehman, 67, of Blue Ball, died unexpectedly at Lancaster General Hospital on November 19. His wife, Carol M. Yoder, survives.

Born in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Titus M. and Elmeda (Good) Gehman.

Carl was retired. Previously he had been part owner of New Holland Tire and Shupp’s Grove. He currently did delivery work for local companies and had worked for Tri-Leaf Tobacco.

He attended Pine Grove Church, Bowmansville. He was a member of Howell Lodge #405, F. & A.M., Honey Brook and enjoyed reading, traveling, NASCAR, skiing, and bluegrass music.

Carl served in the U. S. Navy in California during the Vietnam conflict.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Chelsea R. married to M. Emin Bulut, Reinholds and five siblings: Betty J. married to Melvin M. Wenger, New Holland; Walter E. Gehman, Leola; Sanford R. married to June (Shreiner) Gehman, Lancaster; Dolores A. married to Paul D. Zook, Manheim; and Fern E. Gehman, Bowmansville.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St. Morgantown with Pastors Jonathan Yoder and Randall Good officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. A viewing will be held at Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Rd., Bowmansville on Saturday from 3- 5 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. and at Conestoga Mennonite Church, Morgantown on Sunday from 2 – 3 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
