Carl R. Martin

Carl R. Martin, Jr., 65, of Mohnton, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Terre Hill, he was the son of Carl R. and Margaret (Fields) Martin. He was married 43 years to Donna M. (Moore) Martin.

Before retiring in 2011, Carl, a welder by trade, was employed by TIMET in Morgantown. He was a United States Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War as a military policeman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Carl, married to Heather Martin of La Vernia, Texas, and Carla, married to Shawn Spatz of Exeter; four grandchildren, Caitlyn, Logan, Carter, and Abigail; three brothers, Larry, Allen, and Jim; and three sisters, Patsy, Connie, and Debbie.

Preceding him in death is a daughter, Denise Martin in 2010; and three brothers, Jerry, Neil and Richard.
