Carolyn L. Berstler

Carolyn L. Berstler, 71, of 2928 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, formerly of Ephrata and Churchtown, died Thursday, October 25 at Lancashire Hall.

Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late George and Sara (Bickham) Berstler.

Carolyn worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Ephrata Community Hospital. Following her employment there, she worked at RGAL until her retirement.

She was a member of Churchtown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed making holiday candy for friends, family and coworkers as well as crocheting.

Surviving is a son, Curtis married to Andrea (Durbin) Berstler, Salisbury MD; two grandchildren: Erin Berstler and Andrew (AJ) Berstler; and a niece Suzanne L. married to Jeff Good, Bowmansville.

She was preceded in death by a sister M. Jane Painter.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. at Churchtown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. James Bamberger officiating. Interment will be in the United Methodist Cemetery of Churchtown. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
