She was a founding member and quite active in the ministry of New Life Fellowship in Ephrata. She supported the start of the Ephrata Re-Uzit Store as a board member and volunteer. Carolyn had a long, rewarding career as a licensed taxi driver for the Mennonite and Amish communities and was self-employed in sales. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and grandchildren, most often, playing and winning many games of marbles. She also enjoyed quilting, reading and weekend getaways with family and, especially, with her cousins. Carolyn sewed threads of love with everyone she met, and she was a mom and grandmother to many young people throughout her life!
