Charles R. Houck

Charles R. "Charlie" Houck, 59, of Paes Road, New Holland, died unexpectedly Friday, May 24, 2013 at his home.

Born in Gap, he was the son of the late Jacob and Betty (Devine) Houck.

Charles was employed as a builder for Spring Hollow Construction in East Earl. He was a member of the New Holland American Legion and enjoyed NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are four children, Jared, married to Nicole (Burkholder) Houck of New Holland, Ashley Houck of Ephrata, Erin Houck of Gap, and Charles Houck of Gap; nine grandchildren; a brother, Jacob, married to Regina (Meadows) Houck of New Holland; and two half brothers, James, married to Katherine (Diem) McGinnis of Narvon, and William, married to Thelma (Charlton) McGinnis of New Holland.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29 at 10 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Kevin Readman officiating. Interment will be in the Ranck’s United Methodist Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday from 9-10 am at the funeral home.
