Charles F. Nestel

Charles F. Nestel passed away on September 11, 2014 after a brief illness at Garden Spot Village. He was born on February 8, 1920, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Charles J. Nestel and Elizabeth Butzer Nestel.

Charles graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1938 and began a 40 year career working for Armstrong as an accountant. He enjoyed spending time at his woodland in the Strasburg area and visiting with the small Amish children in the area. He tinkered with electronics and loved playing the organ. He also was an excellent dancer and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Toastmasters, and the Lancaster Historical Society.

He is survived by Sister-in-law Catharine Nestel, Nephews Roger, David, Steven, Nieces Susan and Sarah.

A memorial service will be held at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave. New Holland, Pa. on Friday, October 3rd at 1:00 P.M.
