Charles S. Weaver

Charles S. Weaver, 78, of Gordonville, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy. He was the loving husband of Ginger Lee (Miller) Weaver, with whom he shared over 58 years of marriage.

Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Abram B. and Alta (Shirk) Weaver.

Charles worked as a crane operator for Lukens Steel for over 39 years, retiring in 1996. In his spare time he enjoyed rose gardening, riding motorcycles, listening to country music, visiting Ocean City, MD and Florida, and spending time with his family. Charles was a member of Bridgeville E. C. Church and the Steelworkers Union.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by two children: Yvonne L. Reed of Gordonville and Charles K. Weaver, husband of Lori (Shingle), of Lancaster; a sister, Alta Mae Patterson, wife of Richard, of Narvon; and six grandchildren: Lindsay, Cierria, Abby, Jentzen, Brittany, and Eriaunna.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Pauline Stockdale, Albert Weaver, Raymond Weaver, and Mark Weaver.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Bridgeville Evangelical Congregational Church, 5971 Division Highway, Narvon PA 1755 with Pastor Kirk Wolfe officiating. Interment will be in the Pequea Baptist Cemetery, Gap. Viewing will be held on Monday at the church 1 hour prior to services. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
