Charlotte Schroll Daugherty

Charlotte Schroll Daugherty, 93, was greeted in heaven by Jesus and many family members and friends on Thursday, September 14, 2017. She died at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy, PA.

Charlotte was the daughter of Harlan and Laura Landes. She was a lifelong resident of New Holland and graduated from New Holland High School. She worked as a bookkeeper. Her last place of employment was with Good’s Furniture in New Holland. The Lord blessed her with two daughters, Bobbi Schroll (deceased) and Connie Williams, New Holland. She is survived by: daughter Connie, three grandchildren; Matthew Good (Katherine Robb), Ephrata PA, Nicole Martin (Chadwick), New Holland PA, and Charlotte Oswald (Bradley), New Holland PA. 5 great grandchildren; Zoey, Cody, Taylor, Chloe and Emma. She is also survived by: 2 step-daughters; Carol Foltz (Timothy), Brownstown PA and Susan Daugherty, Lancaster PA. 4 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert N. Schroll, husband Bernerd L. Daugherty, daughter Bobbi Schroll, brother Richard Landes and son-in-law Edward H. Williams.

Charlotte was a long-time member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in New Holland, PA. She enjoyed reading, was extremely gifted at knitting, enjoyed watching basketball and rarely missed watching a game played by her Philadelphia Phillies!

The family would like to invite those who knew and loved Charlotte to a memorial service on Thursday, September 21 at 4:00 p.m. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 276 West Main Street, New Holland PA. Friends may visit with the family from 2:30-4:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service. Burial will be a private service at the EUM Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster PA 17604-4125.
