Clara Doreen Heese

Clara Doreen Heese, 77, of New Holland, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Ephrata Manor.

Born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edna (Lesser) Harder. She was married 55 years on Oct. 21 to John D. Heese.

Clara worked as a psychiatric nurse at the University of Saskatchewan Hospital, she was a member of the Germantown Mennonite Church in Philadelphia and was currently attending New Holland Mennonite Church.

She enjoyed gardening and served as coordinator for the Philadelphia Northwest Meals on Wheels for 10 years.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Garrett, married to Yvonne Heese of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, and Jeffrey Heese of Philadelphia; a daughter, Joylynn, married to G. David Keener of East Petersburg; four grandchildren, G. Dillon, Victoria, Jacob, and Giselle; and one great granddaughter, Valeria.
